PURPOSE: To contrive improvement both in productivity and cutting preciseness by a method wherein the title device is provided with an intermittently moving rotary table having a retaining vacuum suction hole formed on the circumference, a lead-wire detector, and a lead wire position correcting rotary roller which is driven by a motor.

CONSTITUTION: Electrode foil 30 is retained by a rotary table 23 using a vacuum suction hole provided on the outer circumference of the rotary table, and the foil 30 is fed from a hoop through varios types of rollers in the same manner as before. A pull-back roller 25 is driven by a motor, and the size of cutting of the electrode foil 30 is made uniform by the pull-back roller 25. After the rotary table 23 has been rotated, a press-roller 32 is pushed against the pull-back roller 25 by the drive of a cam, and the electrode foil 30 is pinched and pulled back. The amount of the foil 30 is determined by detecting a lead wire 31 using a lead-wire detecting tube 25 and by stopping the rotation of the motor. As a result, aluminum foil can be supplied and cut continuously, and the improvement of productivity can be achieved.
