Abstract:
To provide a foil transfer apparatus capable of detecting the remaining amount of foil.SOLUTION: A foil transfer apparatus 1 comprises a holding roller 25 that holds a roll-shaped foil film 24, a winding roller 26 that winds the foil film 24, a nip section N that is arranged on a movement path until the foil film 24 held in the holding roller 25 is wound around the winding roller 26 and heats the foil film 24 pulled out of the holding roller 25 and a sheet while sandwiching the foil film 24 and the sheet and transfers the foil onto an image formed on the sheet, and a detection section that detects the remaining amount of the foil film 24 held in the holding roller 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
