Abstract:
To provide a foil transfer apparatus capable of preventing foil from being missing because a torn portion of the foil is transferred onto a sheet.SOLUTION: A foil transfer apparatus 1 comprises a holding roller 25 that holds a foil film 24, a winding roller 26 that winds the foil film 24, a driving motor that drives the winding roller 26, a nip section N that is arranged on a movement path until the foil film 24 held in the holding roller 25 is wound around the winding roller 26 and heats the foil film 24 pulled out of the holding roller 25 and a sheet while sandwiching the foil film 24 and the sheet and transfers the foil film 24 onto an image formed on the sheet, a detection section that is arranged on the movement path and detects tearing of the foil film 24, and a control unit that controls the driving motor to wind a torn portion of the foil film 24 by the winding roller 26 when the tearing of the foil film 24 is detected by the detection section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
