Abstract:
To release static electricity generated in a peeling member through a proper route.SOLUTION: A foil transfer device comprises: a feed roll; a film unit FU; a device body 21; a heating roller; and a pressure roller. The device body 21 made of metal includes first and second side frames 21R and 21L which are electrically grounded, and an opening through which the film unit FU is attached/detached. The film unit FU has a peeling member (peeling roller 42) and a contact member 45. The peeling member (peeling roller 42) peels a foil film from a sheet by changing the advancing direction of the foil film passed between the heating roller and the pressure roller to a direction different from the conveying direction of the sheet. The contact member 45 has a first contact 45A for electrically connecting the peeling member (peeling roller 42) and the first side frame 21R when the film unit FU is loaded on the device body 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
