Abstract:
To provide a foil transfer device for transferring foil to a long medium, which can stabilize the quality of a medium after foil transfer regardless of the density of the foil to be transferred to the medium.SOLUTION: In a foil transfer device 1, a transfer sheet take-up mechanism 36 for taking up a foil transfer sheet 3 after foil is transferred to a medium 2 comprises: a motor for rotating a roll-shaped sheet 35 being the foil transfer sheet 3 wound in a roll shape after foil transfer; and a torque limiter which is arranged in a power transmission path from the motor to the roll-shaped sheet 35. The torque limiter idles the motor with respect to the roll-shaped sheet 35 when torque transmitted to the roll-shaped sheet 35 from the motor exceeds a prescribed value. A torque setting value of the torque limiter can be adjusted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
