To provide a nursing device provided with an elevating and lowering mechanism for reducing the burdens of a helper when helping to take off and put on clothes at the time of bathing or the like and capable of being installed even in a narrow place.

The device is provided with a body 1 capable of self standing in the vertical direction, the elevating and lowering mechanism vertically movably attached to the body 1 and a base 20 attached foldably from the horizontal direction almost to the vertical direction to the elevating and lowering mechanism. Then, on the lower part of the body 1, a pair of leg parts 26 provided with a leg opening mechanism for opening legs when the base 20 is shifted from a folded state to a horizontal state and closing the legs when it is shifted in the reverse direction are arranged. The base 20 is applied to a nursing bed, a baby bed or a bench for helping to take off and put on clothes.
