To provide a chair which is easily folded and is convenient to carry.
The folding chair has the characteristic that leg sections 3 and foot sections 4 and 4' are rotated using washers 8 disposed at left and right sides of a front part of the bottom of a seat 1 as rotation shafts to a direction of a backrest 2 at the back for storing, and is so constituted that an irreversible fold device 5 applying a principle of a hinge forms a column to connect the seat 1 and the leg sections 3 and to be folded in only one direction. By lifting the folded chair and separating magnets 10 and 10', the leg sections 3 and the foot sections 4 and 4' rotate and drop. By the force of the above, the leg sections 3 form an angle of 90 degrees or more against the backrest 2 and at the time, although hinge type units 5 and 5' open and tend to close by the action of springs 7, the irreversible fold device of the hinge type units fix them to form the column when the leg sections 3 form the angle of 90 degrees against the backrest 2.
