To provide a folding chair which can be used also as a screen by becoming a structure capable of standing by itself in the case of standing straight.

A pair of L-shaped leg members 4a and 4b have first parts 41a and 41b becoming the front legs of the chair while the folding chair is in the state of a chair where a back plate 1 and a seat plate 2 are folded nearly at a right angle, and a pair of L-shaped sole plate members 5a and 5b have first parts 51a and 51b becoming sole plate members contacting with a floor surface while the folding chair is in the state of the chair. The L-shaped leg members and the L-shaped sole plate members are turnably pivoted by their corner parts 43a, 43b; 53a, 53b. While the folding chair is in the state of the chair, the second parts 42a and 42b of the L-shaped leg members are extended along the sole plate members and the second parts 52a and 52b of the L-shaped sole plate members are extended along the front legs. However, when the back plate 1 and the seat plate 2 are stood vertically to be substantially flush with each other, the first parts of them become the vertical legs and the second parts of them become the support legs of the screen to be usable as the screen capable of standing by itself.
