Abstract:
To conduct various folding work at low technical cost without requiring a large space.
This folding device is for folding at least one web of width smaller than the maximum web width b. The web may be selectively parted to two partial webs 11 and 12 of the same width. The device includes two formers 2 and 3 disposed upward and downward. One former 3 is for half web width, and it is disposed at a part of total web width b above the former 2 for the total web width b. Former tips 15 and 16 of the formers 2 and 3 are positioned to a roughly vertical plane E as seen from sideways. After folding, the partial webs 11 and 12 can be tightly overlapped to each other, so that further work can be conducted.
