Abstract:
To disclose a piece of folding type furniture whose move in a folded state can be smoothly done while handleability in an open state is secured.SOLUTION: In one example of a piece of folding type furniture and a chair, the chair is changeable in a posture for an extended state and a folded state by the operation of stays 6, 7 and an interlock member (link) 8. In the extended state, front and rear legs 3, 4 are in a posture in which a mutual longitudinal interval spreads downward in an expanding posture and intersects in an X shape in the folded state. Casters 20, 21 are attached to a lower end of each of the legs 3, 4. The rear casters 21 are always unable to rotate while the front casters 20 are freely rotatable horizontally with a spindle 25 in a vertical posture in the extended state and becomes unable to rotate horizontally with the front legs 3 in a forward leaning posture in the folded state. As the front/rear casters 20, 21 are horizontally unrotated in the folded state, the chair can be pushed and moved in a stable state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
