Abstract:

To provide food additive enabling production of food having antiallergic action and anti-inflammatory effect.

The food additive containing extract from hardy kiwifruit, and the food each prevents or relaxes allergy disease and nonallergic inflammatory disease by reducing inflammatory action to inhibit release of Histamine from mast cell to increase the concentration of Th1 cytokine and IgG2a in serum so as to decrease the concentration of Th2 cytokine and IgE in the serum. A method for producing extract from hardy kiwifruit is provided.
