To obtain a food and beverage composition having an effect of reducing a body weight and a suppressing effect of the body weight increase, and having an objective of reducing a body fat, especially a viscera fat, and a food and beverage utilfzing the same composition.
This food and beverage composition is obtained by using with blending an extract obtained by an extraction of Cassia mimosoides of the Leguminosae family with water or an organuic solvent and an extract obtained by extracting a mulberry of the Moraceae family. That is, the extract obtained by finely cutting a whole plant of Cassia mimosoides (dried terrestrial part) or crushing with a suitable crushing means such as a mill, and extracting the finely cut or crushed material with an extracting solvent consisting of water or an organic solvent such as methanol, ethanol, ethyl acetate and acetone, or a mixture of them, and blending the extract with the extract extracted from the mulbbery of the Moraceae family.
