To provide a food drying method improving drying effect and shortening a dry-treating time while retaining deliciousness of food, and capable of forming a drying atmosphere of a food surrounding in a continuously fixed and constant temperature and humidity environment so as to solve drying evenness.
This food drying method comprises jetting cold air to a food to dry. In more details, the method comprises placing a food f on a carrier conveyor 32 which is piercedly arranged in a drying chamber 31 forming sealed space in the inside and has many vent holes on a conveyor surface 33, conveying the food to the inside of the drying chamber 31, vertically colliding inside the drying chamber dehumidified cold air r toward the food f from nozzles 36a and 39a which are arranged on the upper and lower sides of the carrier conveyor 32, and forming a film R of the dehumidified cold air on the upper and lower surfaces of the food f so as to dry while carrying the food f in the inside of the drying chamber 31.
