PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of refrigerating cycle by arranging a condenser in a thawing liquid receiving tank in a thawing chamber.
CONSTITUTION: A food storage chamber is constituted of a refrigerating or cold storage chamber 1 and a thawing chamber 10 utilizing the dissipated heat of a condenser 23 in a refrigerating cycle 2. The thawing chamber 10 is constituted integrally with or separately from the refrigerating or cold storage chamber 1. A tank 11, receiving thawing liquid 3 such as water and the like, is arranged in the tank 11 while the condenser 23 of the refrigerating cycle 2 is arranged in the tank 11. When the refrigerating cycle 2 is operated, refrigerant absorbs the heat of the refrigerating or cold storage chamber 1 in an evaporator 24 and is evaporated, then, is sent into the condenser 23 under a high pressure through a compressor 22. The refrigerant dissipates the heat, absorbed previously, and is liquefied in the condenser 23, then, arrives at the evaporator 24 again through a capillary tube 26 and thus, the refrigerating cycle is repeated. The dissipated heat of the condenser 23 heats defreezing liquid 3 in the tank 11 while the thawing liquid 3 is utilized for thawing the of a frozen food.
