To provide a footboard hinge structure in a vehicle carrier for minimizing clearance generated between the base end of a footboard and a rear end surface, and smoothly loading-unloading a vehicle via an auxiliary device even when installing the auxiliary device in a tire for loading-unloading, for example, a failure car.
This vehicle carrier is constituted so that a loading space 2 for placing the vehicle is mounted on a car frame; the loading space 2 inclines in a rear end part of the car frame by a backward slide; the rear end is grounded on the ground; and the vehicle can be loaded-unloaded on the loading space 2 via the footboard 6 rotatably arranged on the rear end of the loading space 2 via a hinge 7. The hinge 7 is formed by rotatably supporting a bracket 71 projected backward from the rear end of the loading space 2 and a base end part outside surface of the footboard 6 by a pivot pin 72, and is formed by arranging the center of the pivot pin 72 on the vehicle driving-into surface 61 side more than the thickness directional center C of the footboard 6.
