Abstract:

To provide a footstep chain abnormality detection device of a passenger conveyor allowing easy confirmation of arrival of readjustment timing of tension of a footstep chain at a maintenance and inspection time.

This footstep chain abnormality detection device is provided with a detection device 10 having a b-contact 20 to be opened when pushing amount of a plunger 14 is a first distance or more, an operation arm 27 transmitting axial direction moving force of a pulling shaft 2 to an operation gear 33 to rotate the operation gear 33 around a gear shaft 32, a plate cam 35 rotating around the gear shaft 32 by interlocking with moving of the tension shaft 2, and a monitoring control panel 50 for notifying abnormal elongation of the footstep chain 72 when an opening signal of the b-contact 20 is input. The plate cam 35 has a cam surface constituted of an outer peripheral surface located at the radial direction outside of an outer diameter of the operation gear 33. The cam surface is formed into a surface shape to push the plunger 14 so that the pushing amount of the plunger 14 may be the first distance or more when moving amount of the pulling shaft 2 becomes the first moving amount or more.
