Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a force controlling method in the bar feeder of a lathe, by which the deflection of a work can be prevented without necessitating any synchronization for the position control of the Z-axis of the lathe and the Z-axis direction of the bar feeder.
CONSTITUTION: In the control of the bar feeder 105 of a lathe 101, a work 104 is gripped by the Z-axis 102 of the lathe 101 and the bar feeder 105, the Z-axis 102 of the lathe performs the position control, and the bar feeder 105 performs force controls, so as to apply a constant torque to the work 104.
