Abstract:

To detect the input of an operation quantity in a specified axis direction with click operation.

A strain generating body 20 formed of rubber is disposed on a board 10 and covered with a cap 30. When the center of an operating body 31 is pushed in, a pressure rod 32 presses a thin type switch SW, and click operation is detected. Inner electrodes E11, E12 covered with insulating films R are arranged on an X-axis on the board 10, and an annular outer electrode E10 is arranged on the outside. When force F11 is applied to the operating body 31, a washer-like displacement electrode E20 inclines, and a capacitance value C11 between the electrodes E11, E20 increases, while a capacitance value C12 between the electrodes E12, E20 decreases. The operation quantity in an X-axis direction to the operating body 31 is detected by obtaining capacity difference (C11-C12). The capacitance value is detected on the basis of an electrical characteristic between the respective electrodes E11, E12 and the electrode E10, and detection output is obtained only when the electrode E20 comes in contact with the electrode E10.
