Abstract:

To extend service life of an ignition coil by arranging each component of an engine including an engine body, the ignition coil or the like, to miniaturize the engine, and to prevent vibration of the engine body from transmitting to the ignition coil.

This forced air-cooling type engine 13 comprises the engine body 15 having a crankcase 18 for pivoting a crankshaft 17 and a cylinder 19 projecting from the crankcase 18, an ignition plug 34 mounted to the cylinder 19, a fan 37 interlocked and joined to the crankshaft 17, a shroud 38 that covers the engine body 15, the ignition plug 34 and the fan 37 from the outside and guides wind B from the fan 37 toward the cylinder 19 and the ignition plug 34, and the ignition coil 43 allowing electric current to be supplied to the ignition plug 34. The ignition coil 43 is arranged in an outward proximity region of a part 55 for covering the radial outer surface of the cylinder 19 in the shroud 38.
