Abstract:
To provide a foreign matter detection method and system with which it is possible to detect foreign matter in a target area easily.SOLUTION: With a 3D scanner 5 for measuring the inside of a target area A which a vehicle 1 enters provided, the foreign matter detection method includes: acquiring detected point data by the 3D scanner 5 as reference data while there is no foreign matter inside of the target area A; acquiring detected point data by the 3D scanner 5 at a discretionary point of time; comparing the detected point data acquired at the discretionary point of time with the reference data; and determining that a foreign matter O exists inside of the target area A at the discretionary point of time when a difference greater than or equal to a prescribed difference is found between the data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
