Abstract:

To provide a forge-welded pipe which is not cracked from the joint even when severe working such as flaring is performed.

The forge-welded pipe excellent in workability is constituted, in which the magnitude A(%) of the eddy current, which is expressed by a percentage to the eddy current detected, taking the eddy current detected by taking eddy current flaw detection in the joined part of the forge-welded pipe detecting by taking the drilled hole of 3.2 mm in the diameter which penetrates through the wall thickness as the standard defect, is not larger than the critical value A1 which is expressed by formula (1): A≤A1=12.5×R1+7.5, using the ratio (R1) of the length in the thickness direction of the joined part to the wall thickness of the pipe.
