Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a gear device small in the manufacturing cost and long in the service life by projecting a center part in the tooth trace direction from each end part so that the tooth flank and the tooth crest of an internal gear demonstrate the similar effect to that of the crowning on the internal gear.
CONSTITUTION: In a forged bottomed internal gear 8, the inner diameter of an internal gear 5 forms the reverse semi-circle to the bottom side position A, the center position B and the opening side position C. An external gear 84 without any crowning is prepared to engage the bottomed internal gear 8 with the external gear 84. In the bottom internal gear 8, the center part in the tooth trace direction of the tooth crest 9 is projected inwardly of each end part, and at the same time with this projection, the center part in the tooth trace direction of the tooth flank 10 is also projected inwardly of each end part. In the external gear 84, the tooth flank 86 and the tooth crest 87 of an external tooth 85 are extended straight in the tooth trace direction. Thus, in this gear device, the stress is borne by the center part of the front face 86 to generate no eccentric wear even with the external gear 84 without any crowning.
