PURPOSE: To provide the subject formable textile sheet material that comprises a yarn of high heat shrinkability and another yarn of low heat shrinkability, is inexpensively produceable, in addition, deeply drawable with high dimensional stability on the deep drawing process and gives the processed products of no unevenness in its strength.
CONSTITUTION: This material comprises a woven or knitted fabric material constituted with at least two kinds of yarns (suitably warp-knitted fabric) where the heat shrinkage at boil of one yarn is ≥45%, preferably ≥60% and the other yarn has the heat shrinkage of ≤10% preferably ≤5%. In a preferred embodiment, the yarn of ≥45% heat shrinkage is an undrawn high-speed POY yarn of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET), while the other yarn of ≤10% heat shrinkage is a high-tenacity yarn of PET.
