PURPOSE: To obtain a knob easily preparable and well processable, by heat- molding integrally the first display part illuminating a knob operating part and the second display part where numerals and characters are printed and moreover insert-molding integrally the first and the second display parts with a knob main body part forming the external form of the knob.

CONSTITUTION: Numerals and characters are set on the surface of the first display part 3 illuminating the knob main body 1 and displaying No. of channel selection of radio and the like and when a knob is pushed, they are illuminated by LED (luminous diode) from the second display part 4. To prepare the knob, the first display part 3 is formed by molding polycarbonate material into a rough rectangular shape by using a mold in the first process, and an acrylic resin is integrally heat-molded on the first display part 3 through a mold in the second process. Moreover, in the third process, the first display part 3 and the second display part 4 having been integrated are integrally insert-molded with ABS resin by using a mold to form a knob.
