Title:
FORMATION OF PATTERNED FILM FOR BACK LIGHT ILLUMINATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2819257
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily and inexpensively produce a patterned film for back light illumination having excellent light resistance and high density by bringing an original picture into contact with a translucent film formed by dispersing white pigments in a resin having non-affinity with sublimatable dyeing agents.
CONSTITUTION: This method for formation of the patterned film for back light illumination comprises bringing the original picture formed with the images by a recording material contg. the sublimatable dyeing agents into contact with the translucent film formed by dispersing the white pigments in the resin having the non-affinity with dyeing agents described above and heating the original picture to capture the dyeing agents into the film. The dyeing agents diffuse deeply into the film and dye the film until the dyeing agents pass by the rear surface of the film and, therefore, the thickness of the colored layers increases. The absorption of the light of the wavelength corresponding to the images is sufficiently executed until the transmitted light passes the colored ink layers. The concn. is thus increased. The light is repetitively irregularly reflected in the film by using the translucent film dispersed with the suitable amt. of the white pigments into the film, by which the optical path length is substantially increased and the density is increased.
