PURPOSE: To form rule block copy efficiently by inputting line art, a photograph, and characters to a computer and allotting them on a graphic display, and superimposing respective rules one over another on the basis of the allocation data and outputting them as rule block copy.
CONSTITUTION: A draft to be printed is divided into line art 1, a photograph 2, and characters 3 by a rule artwork forming method for printed matter and data on those divided line art 1, photograph 2, and characters 3 are inputted to the computer separately and stored in a storage device. Then, those inputted photograph 2 and characters 3 are allotted on the graphic display device. Then, the rule 1' of the line art, the rule 2' of the photograph, and rule 3' of the characters are superimposed one over another on the basis of the allocation data and outputted as rule artwork. Thus, the rule block copy is formed efficiently.
