Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a good-quality two-color transfer image.
CONSTITUTION: Electrification and exposure are applied onto a latent image carrier, then digital reversal development is applied by the contact or noncontact developing system of a black toner, electrification and exposure are applied, then digital reversal development is applied by the noncontact developing system of a color toner, thus two-color unipolar toners are concurrently transferred to a transfer member to form a two-color electrophotographic image. The electrification potential of the second color on the latent image carrier is made lower than the electrification potential of the first color on the latent image carrier, and the development quantity of the second color toner in the same developing electric field is made larger than that of the first color toner.
