Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the uneven coating easily and thus to ensure a uniform film thickness over the entire panel surface only through the control of the revolving speed and time of the panel, by drying and fixing the fluorescent substance film while rotating the panel in a lower speed than the high-speed revolution.

CONSTITUTION: Fluorescent slurry 4 is injected into the inner surface of panel 1 of the cathode-ray tube, and then the high-speed rotaftion to panel 1 to the fling sway the extra slurry 4. And the process to form uniform fluorescent film 5 on the entire surface is performed within 30 seconds. After this, panel 1 is rotated in a lower speed than the high-speed rotation to dry and fix film 5. Thus, the uneven coating can be prevented just by controlling the revolution speed and time of panel 1, ensuring formation of a uniform film thickness over the entire panel surface.
