Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming press for a crank shaft capable of torsion- forming a crank shaft for a plural cylinder engine at a time, using one of tor sion cylinders.
SOLUTION: In the forming press, in which plural twisting dies D are rotatably held with plural rotation guides, a push down arm 15, which is protruded in a radial direction outside from a retainer of respective torsion dies, is pushed down by a push rod elevating with one of torsion cylinders 20, a stock for a crank shaft is torsion-formed, the torsion die having a large torsion angle is arranged so that its push down arm 15a is arranged with aligning to a start position of a full stroke forming, the torsion die having a small torsion angle is arranged so that its push down arm 15b has a stroke shorter than the full stroke forming and is aligned to a start position of a half stoke starting in time lag, a stopper 41, which prevents the push down arm from corotation at the first half of the full stroke forming of the torsion die having a large torsion angle, is arranged to the torsion die having a small torsion angle.
