A wire rod 2 is heated by high frequency induction heating 17 to about 400°C before straightening the wire rod 2 with a wire rod straightening roller part 5. Thus, bending of the wire rod 2 is sufficiently straightened with a wire rod straightening roller part 5, when an end part of a wire rod 2' cut by first/second punches 14, 15 is inserted/striked, because bend is not left to a cut wire rod 2', the cut wire rod 2' does not gall die 16. Accordingly, damage of the die 16 is suppressed to extend a life of the die 16 as well as the device. Further, exchange frequency of the die 16 is reduced, interruption of a forming work of a thread member 10 is suppressed, productivity is improved.
