Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily form an air-escape window hole, having a predetermined size, in a filter which is formed by integrating a frame body consisting of a synthetic resin and a filter medium consisting of crimped nonwoven fabric.
CONSTITUTION: A frame body 1 consisting of a synthetic resin and a filter medium 2 consisting of a wavy crimped nonwoven cloth is integrated by injection molding so as to form a filter. At a predetermined part of the filter medium, a window hole 3 surrounded by surrounding wall 3a is formed. In this method, the surface of the filter medium 2 placed inside the surrounding wall 3a is covered with a thin film 4 made of the synthetic resin the same as that of the frame body at the time of filter molding. Thereafter, the part of the filter medium 2 covered with the thin film 4 is fused and removed by a tool horn of an ultrasonic fusing machine along the surrounding wall 3a so as to form the window hole 3.
