Abstract:
To provide a formulation suitable for the manufacture of ferrules and other feeding head and supply elements for casting moulds composed of a fibrous refractory as an insulating or exothermic material, and having insulating properties or exothermic properties.
The formulation comprises: (i) hollow microbeads of aluminum silicate, with an alumina content below 38% in weight; (ii) a cooling type curing/solidifying agent; and (iii) aluminum, with a content below 40% in weight.
