Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable real-time forward error correction processing on a receiving device side when media information and forward error correction information are asynchronously transmitted to a receiving device.SOLUTION: A forward error correction information generating device 2 comprises: generating means 21 and 22 for receiving a media information packet and generating multiple pieces of forward error correction information from the received media information packet; waiting time calculating means 23 for calculating a waiting time which lasts till forward error correction processing of the media information packet is started on a receiving device 3 side for each forward error correction information using the transmission time and transmission delay time of the multiple pieces of forward error correction information; and transmitting means 24 for adding the waiting time to each piece of forward error correction information and transmitting it to a receiving device 3.
