Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of air intake and exhaust by providing an axis of air intake and exhaust ports nearly on a straight line in such a manner that it slantly intersects a cam shaft on a floor plan. CONSTITUTION:An axis C-D of an air intake port 202 and an exhaust port 203 is provided in such a manner that it slantly intersects an axis of a cam shaft, which sways locker arms 209, 210, 211, 212, on a floor plan and further both ports are arranged on a straight line. Axes of air intake valve and an exhaust valve (a) are arranged in coincidence with or in parallel with the axis C-D of the ports. Accordingly, even in case an engine is mounted on a motorcycle, air intake and exhaust ports are arranged on a straight line in opposition to each other in front and rear on a floor plan, and efficiency of air intake and exhaust is improved and formation of air intake and exhaust ports is easily performed.
