Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve drivability of speed changing a 4-wheel drive vehicle by inhibiting a shift select shaft from being actuated in an extra low position and an extra reverse position when the 4-wheel drive vehicle is in 2-wheel drive.
CONSTITUTION: A switching mechanism for impeding select action to an extra low position and an extra reverse position of a shift select shaft, at switching time to 2-wheel drive, is provided in a 2/4-wheel drive shifter shaft.
