Abstract:
PURPOSE:To transmit the braking force at the time of engine brake also to rear wheels by providing a one-way clutch and a viscous fluid coupling for carrying out torque transmission at the the of the idle rotation of said clutch in parallel in a rear wheel driving system for transmitting driving force from a driving source to a rear wheel side. CONSTITUTION:In a clutch device 20 provided in between the front and rear propeller shafts 7, 8 of a rear wheel driving system, input and output shafts 21, 22 which are linked to the shaft 7, 8 respectively are mutually independently rotatable and a clutch case 25 is provided so as to cover both shafts 21, 22. And, a one-way clutch 27 which is engaged at the time of advancing driving is provided in between the supporting part 25c of the clutch case 25 and the outer end part of the output shaft 22. Also, a viscous fluid is filled in the power transmitting chamber 30 in the clutch case 25 while providing first and second viscous fluid couplings 35, 36 consisting of case plates 31, 32 and hub plates 33, 34 respectively, to enable torque transmission between the input and output shafts 21, 22 at the time of the idle rotation of the clutch 27.
