PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the turning of two wheels and two rear wheels in the same direction and in the same amount, in a traveling vehicle provided with a single rod type front wheel steering cylinder and a rear wheel cylinder.
SOLUTION: A hydraulic circuit which activates the front steering cylinder 18 and the rear steering cylinder 23 comprises; a main circuit having a four wheel steering changeover valve for changing the mode of operation among three modes, a front steering mode wherein only the cylinder 18 is activated for turning the front wheels 2, 2, a rear steering mode wherein only the cylinder 23 is activated for turning the rear wheels, four wheel steering mode wherein both of the cylinders 18, 23 are activated to turn the front wheels and rear wheels 3, 3 symmetrically with respect the longitudinal axis of a vehicle; a subordinate circuit having a changeover valve 43 for activating rear setting cylinder 23; and a changeover switch 47 for changing the changeover valve 43 so as to activate the cylinders 18, 23 in an interlocked manner and thereby turn the front wheels and the rear wheels in the same direction.
