Abstract:
PURPOSE: To effect the fractionation and purification of phospholipid fractions with industrial advantage by solubilizing phospholipid fractions in an organic solvent, feeding the solution to a chromatographic separator of a pseudo-moving bed type to purify into specific fractions.
CONSTITUTION: After phospholipid fractions are dissolved in a mixture of saturated hydrocarbon, alcohol and water, the solution is fed to a chromatographic separator of a pseudo-moving bed type to effect separation into phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylinositol and sphingomyelin whereby the subject purification is attained.
