Abstract:
To provide a frame format by which the hardware configuration in a CODEC is simplified and a high speed IC is miniaturized.
In a frame format used for a CODEC, the total bit number A of one frame is expressed as A=B+D, where B is the total bit number for overhead, data and an error correction code, and D is the number of dummy bits, wherein the bit number D is expressed as D=P×n-B, where P is the number of parallel processings in the CODEC and n is a natural number.
