PURPOSE: To obtain a uniform frame metal easily and efficiently by rotating a drum of a sectional shape approximately equal to the inside shape of the frame metal and winding the wire material anchored to this onto the drum surface by freely vertically movable grooved pulleys while pressing and shifting.
CONSTITUTION: The beginning end of a metal wire material W is anchored to one end of a drum 14 and both grooved pulleys 8 are abutted on the upper part of the wire material to rotate the drum, whereby the wire material is wound on this. At the same time, a screw shaft 25 is also rotated to move shifters 26, 27 in the arrow direction. Both grooved pulleys 8 press the wire material to the drum by weights 10. The wire material is moved by 1 pitch at every 1 turn of the drum so that the wire material is wound orderly at an equal interval on the outside circumferential surface of the drum. The two grooved wheels 8 vertically move respectively freely and the wire material is bent according to the square drum shape. Upon ending of the winding, the driving is stopped and working arms 4, 6 are turned upward to remove the drum from bearings. Next, the spiral wire material is removed from the drum and this is cut off for every one metal frame.
