Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame segment for receiving a combustion unit transition piece for guiding high temperature gas from a combustion unit to a turbine at an interface ranging from the combustion unit to the turbine.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a frame segment 12 for an interface part between a transition piece and a turbine, having a frame-like receiving part 17 for receiving the rear end part of a combustion unit transition piece 24 in an axial direction. The frame segment includes an I-shaped beam having an upper horizontal element 20, a lower horizontal element and a vertical web 22. The upper horizontal element 20 has a fixing surface for fixing to a vane carrier 16. The vertical web 22 has a downstream surface 27 facing toward the first stage of a turbine when it is fixed to a gas turbine. Further, the vertical web has a cooling gas duct for supplying cooling gas to the downstream surface 27 of the vertical web.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
