PURPOSE: To provide excellent energy absorbing capacity by a method wherein a plurality of column structures comprising a first column and a second column having a lattice, and each column structure is joined with a lower beam or foundation and an upper beam by mean of bolts.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of column structures 16 each comprising a first column 10 and a second column 14 having a lattice 12 are provided and joining plates 18 and 20 each provided at upper and lower end parts with respective bolt holes are provided. The lattice 12 and the first column 10 are joined together at joints 13 formed at the respective bent spots of the lattice 12 by means of bolts 22. The first column 10 and the second column 14 of each column structure 16 are joined with a lower beam 34 or a foundation and an upper beam 38 by means of bolts 24. This structure enables absorption of energy through plastic deformation.
