Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freezing prevention method and freezing prevention device which require little power consumption and implement convenience.SOLUTION: A freezing prevention device is composed of: a band shape heat generator 10 obtained by covering a chip row obtained by arranging a plurality of LED chips 11 with flexible plastic or synthetic rubber; and a power supply circuit 13. The band shape heat generator 10 is wound in a spiral shape around a water pipe of a freezing prevention target, and is fixed to the water pipe with adhesive tape at a tip part and base end part of the band shape heat generator 10. When power is supplied from the power supply circuit 13 to the LED chips 11, the LED chips 11 emit light and generate heat to prevent the water pipe from being frozen. Further, when covering of the chip row is configured with transparent flexible plastic 15, flexibility and resilience are given to the band shape heat generator 10 and the band shape heat generator 10 is in contact with the water pipe without a gap when winding the band shape heat generator 10 around the water pipe. Thereby, heat is efficiently transferred to the water pipe, while light emission from the LED chips 11 enables energization in the band shape heat generator 10 to be easily recognized by sight.
