PURPOSE: To produce a deoxidized condition rapidly in order to preserve the freshness of food or medical supply by a method wherein an inner package formed of an oxygen-permeable resin material containing a specific salt with an air passage for passing a deoxidizing agent therethrough is placed within an outer package containing a deoxidizing agent.
CONSTITUTION: An inner package 2 formed of the oxygen-permeable resin material containing silver ion-substituted aluminosilicate and forming therein a space for receiving package contents is placed in an outer package 3 containing therein a deoxidizing agent 1 in such a manner that an air passage is formed all around the package to pass the deoxidizing agent therethrough. A resin selected from polyacrylate, polybutadiene, polysulfone and polyethylpentene having an oxygen permeability of at least 0.5 cm3/m2.24 hours.atm is sued in the manufacture of the oxygen-permeable resin. To form the deoxidizing agent, ascorbic acid and its derivative, preferably metal powder such as powdered iron, are used.
