Abstract:
To provide a friction body and a thermochromic writing instrument that can be used by selecting the friction portion of the friction body and enable stable friction operation.SOLUTION: A friction body 1 includes a hard friction member 2 and a soft friction member 3 made of rubber elastic materials having different hardnesses. The hardness of the hard friction member 2 is set higher than that of the soft friction member 3. The soft friction member 3 is provided on the outer surface of the hard friction member 2. The upper end of the hard friction member 2 is provided above the soft friction member 3. A mounting portion 22 consisting of a recess or a hole is formed on the outer surface below the upper end of the hard friction member 2.
