PURPOSE: To transmit constant pressure plate load throughout the life of a clutch by providing an inclined Belleville spring having an inclined inner peripheral edge to be brought into contact with a plurality of levers and an inclined outer peripheral edge to be brought into contact with a clutch cover.

CONSTITUTION: A release lever joint 30 is rightward moved together with a sleeve 32 to which a bearing 34 and the joint 40 are fixed by the motion in a direction in which a release bearing 34 is moved far away from a clutch cover 14. The inner ends 28 of release levers 16 are rightward pivoted, and protrusions 40 are pulled in a direction to be moved far away from inclined parts 42. The disengaging movement of the bearing 34 is performed against a Belleville spring 18 for holding a clutch in the engaging position. Accordingly, collecting annular contact parts 46 of the levers 16 are brought into contact with collecting rings 26, and the collecting rings 26 are brought into contact with the annular inner peripheral edges 24 of the spring and overcome force of the spring 18. While, the spring 18 occupies the normal position by release of load of the bearing 34, and the bearing 34, the sleeve 32 and respective lever inner ends 28 are leftward returned.
