Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified friction pad and a friction pad receptacle assembly for brake/clutch module easing insertion of a friction pad into a brake/ clutch module and pulling the friction pad out from the brake/clutch module.
SOLUTION: Reversing a pad/receptacle connection eases the connection. The pad is, thereby retained on the receptacle by a grip at a far end of the receptacle. The pad can be removed by one hand with a structure relating to a finger grip dent close to a near end of the pad. This invented clip is partially bent by a small force applied by an operator while preventing the pad from falling down by gravity. Spring steel of a retention clip is put between a pad assembly and those guides to protect a torque resistant pad guide against wear.
