Abstract:
PURPOSE: To avoid production of rough outer circumferential part of a friction material caused by the clearance of a die, and to prevent generation of cracks at the part.
CONSTITUTION: After the whole structure is made of approximately uniform material, and a thick wall part 1a is formed on the outer circumferential part of the friction material 1 during the preforming, and the thick wall part is formed and the preformed goods are formed in to the uniform thickness in the thermal forming, and the outer circumferential part of the friction material 1 is made more dense than the other parts.
