Abstract:
A friction roller speed increaser (100) is provided with a high-speed shaft (11), a ring roller (21), a low-speed shaft (13), at least one fixed roller (15), at least one movable roller, and a casing (23) covering the peripheries of the rollers. A bearing unit (45), having a cylindrical bearing housing (51) into which the high-speed shaft (11) is inserted, bearings (53, 55) for rotatably supporting the high-speed shaft (11) on the inner periphery of the bearing housing (51), and an oil seal (59) provided to one end of the bearing housing (51) and closing an inside space including the bearings, is supported in a floating manner so as to move freely in the diametrical direction of the high-speed shaft (11) within a unit accommodation part (47) formed in the casing (23).
