Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction roller type speed reducer which is configured to improve the rigidity of a pair of supporting arms 35a, 35b constituting an oscillation frame 28b rotatably supporting an intermediate roller 4a, while increasing the axial supporting rigidity of the intermediate roller 4a.SOLUTION: A rotation shaft for supporting the intermediate roller 4a is a bolt 38. At the front ends of both supporting arm parts 35a, 35b, circular through-hole 36 and screw hole 37 are provided concentrically with each other, respectively. Through the through-hole 36, a columnar part 39 is inserted which constitutes the intermediate part of the bolt 38, and to the screw hole 37, a male screw part 40 is threaded and further fastened which constitutes the front end of the bolt 38. Besides, around the bolt 38, the intermediate roller 4a is rotatably supported by a pair of ball bearings 50, 50 to which back-to-back combination type contact angles and pressures are imparted.
